Dinesh V. Bhat, MD

Born in Kundapur, India on September 27, 1944

Dr. Bhat completed his undergraduate studies in 1963 at Bombay University, Bombay, India and graduated from the Topiwala National Medical College at Bombay University in 1969.  His post-graduate training included a residency in General Surgery/Otolaryngolocy at B.Y.L. Nair Charitable Hospital in Bombay from 1969-1972, an internship at Mercy Hospital, Toledo, OH from 1972-1973 and a residency in General Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence from 1975-1978.

Dr. Bhat received Board Certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology in 1978.  He was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Brown University in the Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology and was appointed to serve on the medical staff at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital.  Dr. Bhat has also served in the medical community as a trainer of otolaryngology residents at Rhode Island Hospital for Tufts/NEMC.

His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, the RI Medical Society and the American College of Surgeons. 

Dr. Bhat joined University Otolaryngology in July of 1992.  While he has moved on, his kindness and unfaltering dedication to each and every one of his patients will not be forgotten.  It is this spirit that will endure.
